Asin clarifies: "I didn't refuse Sridevi, Boney's film"

Recent reports claimed that actor Asin had refused good friend Sridevi's film offer, citing date issues. The fact behind the story is that the actor was made no such offer. A spokesman from Boney Kapoor's film production unit said they are quite amused to learn about the report.

Says Boney Kapoor, "We are working on the scripts of BE POSITIVE [the sequel to NO ENTRY] and MR. INDIA 2. I am not someone who will approach actors with an incomplete script. Let the script get completed, only then will I announce the star cast."

Asin says, "I share great personal relations with Sridevi, Boney-ji and the entire family. I was shooting in Chennai when I heard about the report. That's just impossible."

Asin shocks Sridevi

Asin starts shooting for a South film whose working title is Kaavalan and then she has the second schedule for Bhushan Kumar's Ready to shoot. She also has two more Bollywood offers that are hush-hush. Asin doesn't really have any time right now till next year to sign up for another film. She likes to complete one project at a time. Unfortunately, Boney's offer came at a time when she had already reserved her dates for other films. She had to politely say a no to him."

Asin had to also say no to filmmaker Vipul Shah as well for the same reason. And there are other offers that she could not accept because her endorsements have gone up. "Fingers are crossed that her decisions don't cost her dearly," said the source. "She has been shooting in Srilanka and down South, so she hasn't got the chance to gel with Sridevi and Boney. That might also be adding fuel to the fire." Asin could not be contacted for a comment. Sridevi too remained elusive.

Sources say that Joseph Thottumkal (Asin's father) felt thatAsin needed expert guidance from Boney and Sridevi Kapoor who are also Asin's neighbours.She is very close to their children,Jhanvi and Kushi.Asin said, “I have grown very close to Sridevi.
